Boosting with NO fuel management...
Ok so there's a guy i know that is boosting his b16a2 as we speak. He is planning on running no fuel management at all. Him and a few others beleive it will run fine as long as they install bigger injectors and 2 fuel pumps lol. By the way the spring in the wastegate is 8-9lbs boost. So what will be the outcome of this. They will be done installing it tom and I have warned them this is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. So what do you guys figure will happen?

Well if they know the possibilities, then they deserve to blow the motor. It will probably run fine for a while actually. Depending on how much he beats the crap out of it. The bigger injectors will just make it run really rich. He'll get bad gas mileage and maybe wash the cyclinders. Although I believe that he is a moron for thinking that it would be "ok" if you install bigger injectors I don't think it will blow anytime soon. However, he IS damaging the motor and just being COMPLETELY naive and has no clue how to properly turbo a car. Get ready to say "I told ya so" to your buddy haha
Oh yea, and I feel sorry for his motor. No motor should ever have to have an owner like that. It's motor cruelty!

Tell them..."dude you wanna make some real power right? Install even bigger injectors and up the boost to 15psi, hell even 20psi and smooooke everyone else" hahahaha but make sure you get it on camera when you say this!

Nothing will happen. As soon as he transitions into boost he'll hit a brick wall and run into limp mode. UNFORTUNANTYLY, they don't get to bloe it up Unless the ecu doesnt' go into limp mode in time then YAY! :D

Re: (Tchleung)
survival of the fittest in its most pure form, ask him if he wants to race for a lump sum, but only if that race is the first times he boosts, 2 fuel pumps wouldn`t make a difference, the stock fpr will hold the same pressure

Not cool I would not do that from what I know the stock ecu can only kick enough fuel for 1-2psi thats no fun. Besides If the car did not come boosted then you need some type of fuel mgmt.

help him out a little man... get some check valves for him so it will at least be a cool explosion.
edit: oh ya, make sure he knows that waste gates (like fuel management) are for pussies, just cap that bitch off.

Well the turbo is on and they were telling me it was boosting to 10lbs at 4500rpm without the fuel pump, regulator, or injectors. They figure after those go on tomorrow it will be good to go. I will keep you guys posted......
