Default boosting my ek need advice

Hey guys help the newbie here please
I got an 98 ek type r w/ rebuilt engine (maybe 5k miles on it) with 10:1 compression pistons & stage 2 cams and im looking to boost. I bought a t3/4 Garret turbo but im not sure on what size piping i should get. My friend says 2.5 inches is enough but my other buddy says i need to go 3 inches. And this is where i need help, im sure you guys have seen the difference. now 2.5 inches runs about $150 and the 3 inches runs about $200 so i can go either way but which one would be better??
Thanks guys

Do your research, you spend less time waiting for a proper answer when you can be reading on threads with over dozens of insight, info, and arguments about what's preferred.

So we have a thread about 1/2 an inch and 50$'s difference....

i'll gave you the answer EVREYONE will say 3 inch if boosting 2.5 is ok mild all motor builds and even turboing but if you want to get the most out of it.....

bro...its not about the money or the size that was just extra info to get a more acurrate answer....
I was just concerned about the reliability of the motor, nothing else.

A simple "3inches is a better choice" would of been fine.

Another question, do you guys even own a turbo civic? or just sit in your mothers basement all day long eating cheetos and then wondering later why your dicks orange RETARDS

So you think people are at your beck and call as if this was a fast food joint?

Yeah. And we didn't have to start a thread asking what size piping we needed to use either.

you're basically saying you're too lazy to do any leg work of your own and educate yourself and want to be spoon fed.

here's some advice for you then: take your car to a shop, tell them what you want, give them money.

see how easy that can be?

Forums are for sharing information, if you dont have anything productive to say then dont say anything at all and go back to your cheetos. I always help people on the forums giving them my opinion based on my experience not telling them to go somewhere else. Thanks though you guys were alot of help.

It's funny how people that want information handed to them always say this. Boosting a car is not an area where you want that to happen. Taking the wrong advice cold have catastrophic consequences. Educate yourself, by searching information readily available and avoid that.

Its not about being rude on my part. You basically contradicted yourself. Forums are for sharing information, and if you want the right info, look it up. Its such a common question, its for a Civic not a Supercar, thousands of people have done the same thing. None of us are being dicks, we're being realistic.
