HELP!!! I would like to Boost a D15B7
Does anyone have any information on a safe way to boost a D15B7 1992 HondaCivic Lx.
i have about 156k on the motor. With my funding i cannot afford another motor. I have a few mods but nothing much. K&N intake, DCSport 4-2-1 2 peice, and spark plug wires. Please help i feel like im riding a bicycle. When im goin over the speed limit cops arent even worried about me cuz my pos doesnt run hard enough.
Thanks

i boosted my d15b7, it runs like a champ. high 13's, i havent taken it to the track yet (no time), but i've pulled a 5.0 mustang, a rsx-s, and a n/a supra...
btw. engine has 190k and counting...
no problems, perfect compression, i change the oil every 2000-2500 miles. non-synthetic.
do it, just get a kit or do your research first . i spent over a year going over what i need to know and learning new stuff about how everything works and what would be best suited to the application i want to use it for.
total cost for the kit came in at just under $800. i used mostly dsm parts, http://www.dsmtrader.com is invaluable (as is having a lot of friends that are cool with giving away their stock parts )

Yeah you can boost the B7, I have one in my rex...7 psi, 60 trim T3, custom manifold, custom charge pipe and intercooler. I don't have any numbers, but if I had to guess I'd say somewhere in the 150-170 whp range. The car drives great and is a blast to play around in. Like stated above just buy a kit or do lots of homework before you start to buy stuff. Spend your cash where it counts, and be sure the it's tuned properly!
