Default Boosting 7psi....supposed to only hit like 4.

Ok, I have my wastegate hooked up to my compressor. So w/ the .4 bar spring that is supposed to be in there I should only hit like 4 psi after the IC. However I hit .5bar...about 7psi.

My guess is that I was sent the wrong wastegate spring (although it does say ".4bar spring - DONE" on the box). However could anything else be causeing the problem? Could a restrictive exhaust or restrictive wastegate loop (the damned FMAX closed loop that goes right into the top of the downpipe) be causeing this?

I'm gunna have FMAX send me a new spring, just to be sure, but is there anything else I should look for?

If you open up the Tial you can tell by the color of the spring. Green is .6bar and brownish red is .4bar. I had Scott make my DP open loop cause I thought the slip joint was shady.

Yeah, I fucked up, I should have gotten the open loop downpipe. I'm gunna do closed loop, but they're system sucks; I'm gunna be changing it anyway. Definitly do closed loop though. Having the car be completely quiet all throughout boost is soooo nice!

Yeah, my slip joint is leaking. I have some super hight temp gasket maker that I'm gunna fix it with though.

Also, how do I check the spring. Just undo all those bolts around the wg?

.4 bar = 5.8 psi.. you're not creeping much. just a tad over 1 psi.

but with the pressure loss from the IC it's more like 2 or 3psi....i say open it up and see what spring you've got in there...

Don't trust Scott, you probably have the green spring in there. He didn't have any .4bar springs last I asked him. I had to buy mine. Cost 30bux.
