Default Boosted Minime's?

im building a mini me eg hatch and i plan to run it boosted i've done some searching and havent been able to find anything anywhere about them. other than people flaming them and makin **** up. im thinking its cuz the mini me has fairly high compression which isnt the best setup for boost. i got my d15b7 with z6 vtec head for 125$ so im not really worried if i blow it. im only plannnnning on running 5-7 lb's of boost but who knows. if anyone has any insight/knowledge/hints/tips i'd appreciate it. thanks.

that guy doesnt know to much. there are hundreds of 200-500whp d series motors on stock sleeves.

my mini me ran 20psi for about 8k miles on stock sleeves, although it had rods and pistons. your setup will be perfectly find on 5-7psi if you pay attention to tuning. dont bother to waste the time and effort to boost a car then run it on an afc or fmu or whatever those retards use now a days.

well i already have a greddy emanage from one of my previous builds and was kinda planning on useing that for tuning but have it professionally done. Where did you get your rods and pistons? i've been looking all over for those and cant seem to find them anywhere.

they were d16 eagle rods, i was running a d16a6 with a z6 head. you wont find them for a d15 until fjt comes out with them. vitara pistons will work in your d15 but until the rods come out you wont see anything.

check the d-series.org forum for more info.

i actually just finished my built, altough my engine is non vtec, i got KMS valvetrain, its solid im happy with there stuff, and JE pistons. i orderd most my stuff from kms, and i bought the pistons from somebody brandnew. my advice is look around your local area it has been my experience that most people are trying to get rid of there single cam stuff so you can drive some nice deals.
