2000 integra with 95k on it. Before boost, no ticking or tapping or issues whatsoever. Motor super healthy,stock and clean. Vhicle purchased from 1 owner. About 2 weeks ago turbo kit was installed. Car had exhaust leak and was loud so I heard no noticeable noise other than exhaust leak. Now I just got new exhaust installed (2.5 piping with 16'' resonator and 2.5 Vibrant muffler). Car is much quieter now but i hear like a low tapping or tick coming from head area. Any ideas what it could be? I havent retund since new exhaust, could this be it? Getting retuned on Crome tomorrow. Original tune was for 3" thermal exhaust which was just changed out today for this smaller exhaust. Also changed oil after hearing tick. Help a dude out.

If its a very slight tick its prob just the valves. Check to make sure there adjusted properly. Why did you swap out the 3" Thermal for 2.5" exhaust? I like the Thermal exhaust.

The Thermal was too loud for me. The fitment also wasn't great because it was for a DC not a DB chassis. My exhaust is nice and quiet now. I love it. I have been researching as well and have read threads about injectors also ticking. I am running DSM 450's which I have read also tick loud. I'll see what my tuner has to say about it.

my has been boosted for about 7 months and have a very small ticking sound also but the car runs fine. had valves adjusted aready. the ticking has been there before i boosted it . but it did quiet down alittle with the adjustment. so im sure it was just the valves .

if you are running dsm's that is most likely the cause of the ticking, mine where loud as hell when i had them, switched them for rc's and the ticking quieted down.

what actually causes the injectors to tick? Like I said before, I am getting retuned tonight and will see what my tuner thinks about it. Hopefully its just the injectors and I dont need a valve adjustment.
