Default Boosted ECU choice

What ECU are you boosted guys running? Im leaning towards the P28 or does it not matter?

p06 for non-vtec and p28 for vtec.

im running a p28....doest really matter tho since your chipping it anyway

It can be a p05 with o2 & vtec added, a p06 with vtec added, etc. Once its chipped with an ems added, it works just the same. P28 is the defacto standard though.

Im running a P28 with a mugen chip right now, but I think Im going to get another one thats socketed for hondata when I boost

If it has a mugen chip, it already is socketed and will work with Hondata. All ecu's will function the same pretty much when they're socketed. Except that I believe the p72 had knock sensor and other minor features.

How exactly do you "add" vtec. I'm using a P05, the car is definitely reading the 02 sensor and I have a high and low cam timing/fuel tables using Crome, VTEC crossover set at 5K.

Seems to make good power and like I said, O2 is definitely reading. So, uh, yeah?

dont confuse them.

just use any obd1 rechippable ecu. vtec. just disable it on the image if youre runinng a non vtec engine.

having to send it back to hondata to get socketed and the gear boost option sux I havent found anyone near me that will do it
