Sup everyone, im new to honda tech but not the honda family, been around hondas for about 2 yrs now and have worked on just about every honda and acura. Well im seeming to have a problem. I have a fully built bottom end z6 and my manifold cracked which has been fixed, but now when i hit the rpm where vtec kicks in my check engine light comes on and stays on unless i turn the car off or reset ecu which it still comes on if i do it again, the code is 21 which is vtec solenoid. It never did this before the mainfold cracked, any ideas of what it could be so i know what to fix????

Take off the vtec solenoid and clean the screen.
