Default boost solenoid and boost by gear question.

Hey guys i'm not familiar with boost by gear and boost solenoids so my questions is If i plan on running boost by gear and maxing out at 20 psi. Is there anyway I can have a switch inside the car for like a manual override to switch off the solenoid or the boost by gear function to just run 20psi at all times. And that way when I want to switch back to boost by gear i just flip the switch. I know they make electronic boost controllers that I can have a high and a low setting that i change on the fly but ide rather do boost by gear. is this possible

IIRC, Don't think so. I believe that has to be accessed via laptop to change those settings from Boost-by-gear to standard duty cycle.

I believe with s300 you can have two different boost maps, I can't remember how you wire that in and what not but you can have two different maps set up and just have one be full boost.

I think the way you do it is not set it up by duty cycle but you make another settings for boost by gear and have all gears and rpms at the 20# duty cycle.

yeah, i just opened up s300 to check and you can choose high/low control through either ac switch, brake switch, ps pressure, vtec pressure etc. it also tells you what pin into the ecu it is, so you can even find that wire and put and inline switch if you felt so compelled.

neptune also has the same feature, under pwm in parameters/boost control
