Default Boost Solenoid

I am thinking about buy a greddy profec b 2.. but it does not come with the solenoid.. and i was seeing how much solenoids are.. and they are really not the cheap.. i was wondering if there are cheaper solenoids out there that i can buy that will work with the greddy boost controller other than then the greddy one.. i have read that perrin boost solenoids work.. but is there any others that i can use.. thanks

for what it is worth, i hve installed 2 profec b 2's and since have uninstalled them from the customer.

thats all i can say about that.

we ask about the ems because with the hondata, and neptune rtp (i think) you have staged with rpm and mph based boost control.

thats the cats ***.

Neptune has boost by gear, I know that for a fact. Which is probably setup thru the speed sensor. I was looking at going a solenoid route untill my tuner, servion, mention that his computer has problems setting up the boost by gear option on his lap top. So I ended up for with a turbo XS dual stage electronic boost controller. Hopefully she'll work just as well.

Since you are running Crome just get the Profec B. Find one that comes with the boost solenoid to avoid the hassle of trying to find one. I have the Profec B and it has done its job well. I switched over to S300 so now I am going to use that to control my boost.

The original Profec B was good, the Spec 2 sucks that's why they released the "type S" so soon after the Spec 2. The reason you're finiding spec 2's w/o solenoids is because people ditch them and use the solenoid with the S300.
