Boost the stock motor, mini me is not worth it when boosting especially in the case of a stock D.

you were told wrong, I have known someone or have myself boosted every honda motor, they all respond well, and you'll love your vtec-e, trust me.

now you just need to read, you dont need to touch the motor for a low to moderate boost setup, basically it comes down to how much money you want to spend and how well you tune the car.

i would boost the stock hx. i have an hx, and would have totally boosted that motor, but it would have not met my power goals. the vtec e is tight, and with a ex tranny is just as fast as an ex. downfall is you really need the hx ecu to run it, so managment leaves you to obd2 such as hondata, or the hack and fmu if u dont got the cash. a boosted hx will have a real nice midrange, and for like 10 or less psi it wouldnt be the fastest car out there, nor the slowest, but definately enough to have fun with.
