I know ebay is not the place, but is a boost gauge simple enough it will work properly? its a digital boost gauge for 25$ shipped lol.

what gauge is best for under 70$

I would not trust measuring the vitals of my motor to some crap off eBay

Autometer is a decent product.....by far not the best but a quality peice never-the-less

Keep your eyes pealed in the marketplace.....used autometer pop up all the time for cheap, also mechanical gauges are always better than electrical

i have always used stewart warner gauges. probably would use stack the next time around if i felt like being spendy.

alright I know what to get then. also looking for oil pressure gauge that comes with a braided hose for a good price. like **** I dont wanna know I dropped like 500bucks on gauges LOL so far im at like 215 on the wideband and 70 on the digi fuel pressure

don't use a mechanical oil pressure gauge. as for the fuel pressure gauge, you don't need an electric one. just put one under the hood.

I'm rockin' a Blox boost gauge. I've had Autometer and Greddy before though. LIked the Autometer especially for the price. But that damn Greddy gauge was a pain to read the bar(psi) reading and cost me a pretty penny. The Blox one lights up like the Greddy and is easy to read like the Autometer. I luv it.

I second on not gettig the mech oil press gauge. Go electric on that one, it's a pain when/if the line busts. Had it happen once, and the gauge is just sitting in my garage now lol

like you said buy the mechanical gauge toss out the shitty nylon piping, iirc its either standard -3an or -4an braided line that fits the fitting on the gauge

theres a reason your car uses an electronic MAP sensor and not a mechanical boost gauge to operate your engine. digital boost gauges will always be more accurate, especially if the mechanical gauge is out of calibration.

i also want to point out that the ebay one the OP posted is junk and i would never put that in my car lol i use all autometer digital gauges however.

my ecu reads the map sensor and that can be datalogged, for ease of use i can see what is actually being pumped into my motor via my mechanical gauge

that guage with the mount would be perfect. I already have the digital fuel pressure gauge installed its good I thought that cheapy one might be alright for boost. we'll see what I get except that apexi is in kpa

psi works best for me. i wish I could simply afford an aem truboost but its just what ever works and relaible is what im going for

I'm using OBX boost/oil pressure, tubing kits they send with the gauges are garbage but the gauges work fine. 6psi spring = 6psi on the gauge. Same with 4,8, etc. Blew the cheap, flimsy hose off the ferrule for the oil pressure gauge though, replaced it with a -3 an line, and it reads perfect except at idle it'll rest on 0psi(I'm guessing because there's not enough oil pressure to keep the line full. it's always done it. stock dummy light is still hooked up and works.)

thanks for reading about my oil pressure gauge. I want the line to come with a fitting for my sandwich adaptor mount gauge run hose to gauge to sandwich plate and power wires for illumination. seems difficult to find tho

ill keep in mind its 3 or 4an line. im sure my tuner can have something

i have no objections to analog gauges but remember, placement and being easy to read when you glance at it is key, which is why i tend to prefer digital myself

If you have a phone with apps download an app that goes.from bar to psi.my turbo timer had a analog boost gauge built in but displayed bar. It didnt take long to remeber what was what. 1 bar is 14.5 psi its not too much to stress over. I have an extra autometer gauge if u want it

Like stated easily visible is key....my next setup will be a custom cluster that i already have plans for
