Default Boost cut engaging

Hello all

So I just rebuilt my GSR transmission and gave it some face-plated gears. The car sat from middle of September until this week.

I got about 100 miles on her so I decided to try to do a nice easy pull in 5th.

Turbo starts to spool hits about 3lbs and boost cut is kicking it. I was pushing over 20lbs before I did the transmission. (Which is going great by the way!)

I haven’t plugged in the s300 yet. Before I do tonight I was wondering if anyone has any idea as to why this would be happening if I never changed anything with my ECU?

If you weren't using the S300 ECU before when you made 20psi, what ECU did you use ? Is it different than what you are using now ?

I was thinking this too, I think he meant he just hadn't plugged his computer into the S300 yet to view logs.

Unfortunately I don’t have a cord to run to my PC. I have v3 though.
I should be able to download the software on my PC then link with Bluetooth correct?

I'm actually not sure if you can use the bluetooth to download the log files, most uses of bluetooth with the S300 I've seen are people using them to display gauges/info.

Edit: May be worth investing in a cheap $200- laptop just so you can use it for things like this. Look for used business laptops on eBay - Thinkpads, HP Elitebooks, Dell Latitude. Some companies throw out several dozens of those every month, they've gotta end up on the market somewhere.

This is fantastic advice. Amazon lists them as renewed. They come preloaded with legit licensed windows 10 or 11. I happen to point a lot of people this direction as well.

You need a "USB printer cable" or a USB A male to USB B male cable. Search on Amazon and you can have one cheap in just a couple of days. I've got a 15 footer...they may even make longer ones than that, if you have to run it to your PC.

USB without a repeater is limited to 15'. You can sometimes get lucky and run longer without but the spec is 15'.

Turned out that my ECT was plugged into the wrong spot. Feeling dumb today but hey glad it was so simple.
