Default boost controller

what boost controller should i look at if i don't wanna spend more than say $100? i'm using e-manage to tune. i don't need an electronic one since the car is gonna be at same boost level at all times. also how hard is it to tune with e-manage? it hasn't been tuned cause it comes pre-tuned from greddy.

You don't need a controller if your not going to change the boost level.Just do it with the waste gate spring.

it's an internal wastegate. how do you adjust the spring on an internal one?

if the gate actuation rod is adjustable, shorten it = more boost.

the cheapest way to go is a manual boost controller.

so just shorten the rod until i'm boost to 9 psi? why do i need a boost controller if i can change the boost on that rod? eventually i'll be getting an electric one so i can change boost on fly but i'm running short on my funds for my build for this year

when it is hot as hell and need to change it, you will burn your hands.

you arent looking at a major difference in power from 6-10psi. it will be an increase. but the easiest way to facilitate it will be an MBC. look in the marketplace and see what sponsors have them and how much.

major different from 6-10 psi HAHA. only like 40 hp to the wheels atleast. i've been in a boosted civic that had his low on 6 and high on 10 psi and it was a huge different.

It is an actual EBC not just the solenoid. He said eventually he'll want an EBC so just throwing an idea out there.

Just replaced my friends EE controller WITH a Halman, If you want it. LMK... 60 SHipped????

The hallman works WAY better than that EE controller. Boost hits very nicely, that "EBC" never worked quite right...

It was one out of the first run of them... It works, but the Hallman is way more solid.

Ya its a cool deal for the price, but the Hallman MBC allows the SAME EXACT setup to spool ALOT quicker... Seriously noticable

well on an engine making 240 at 6 and 280 at 10 i guess thats cool.

been a long time since i have ran boost levels that low he hee. im mad i can only use 34 psi.

with all the options with boost by gear, thats the best way to go imo.
