Default Boost control buttons and or 2step on the steering wheel? Questions

For anyone that has like the Greddy Hi/Lo boost button on their steering wheel. Or for people that have their 2step mounted on the steerng wheel . How exactly do you keep from the wires from getting all goofy when you turn the wheel? Do you use like a coiled wire and try to just tuck it back in the steering column?
I tried to do my 2step to the wheel the other week at the track. i only had reg wire so i wired it to a horn button and then noticed it was a pain in the *** when i needed to cut the wheel hard, the wires just ripped out. .

Also i have a removable steering wheel so i will need to i guess rig up some quick connects to it somehow?

Anyone have any insight on how they did this?

thanks.

you could find the horn wire under the dash after it comes out of the steering colum and cut it with a relay, just hook the relay to a switch so you can switch between your horn and boost controler or 2 step, this is how i had my 2 step and boost scramble hooked up, if you need a diagram on how to do the relays let me know

I ran my hi/lo profec B switch on my shifter. Located just so my thumb can hit it when it's time to go.

im not too worried about switching from Horn to boost control or 2 step. the way i was gonna do this is , left horn button = 2 step, right horn buttn= horn and prob doer a Greddy hi/lo on the steering wheel via another switch . Or somewhere else easy to get to. leaving the line at full boost will be a bitch so i wanna leave at lower boost and switch over. but i wanna hit it aat a nice spot. when it kicks hi boost i wanna be able to control the car.

I was just thinking about this. Would anyone happen to know where the cruise control wires are under the dash in a DA Integra? I want to run my the same stuff to my CC buttons.

I would think someone would come up with a good wireless solution to this.

I think it is the Greddy...I remember seeing pics of it mounted on a steering wheel but other that it had a yellow button I am not too sure

Yes the greddy is wireless, you aren't going to be able to seperate your left and right horn buttons because they are the same circuit(only one wire comming from the column)you could only use them for one function unless you use a dash mounted swith to change the function like the other guy did with his 2 step. As far as a quick disconnect, you could make a steering wheel mounted switch panel withas many fucctions as you would like, wire it to a phone jack and have the recepticle mounted just under the column. This would be for drag applications only, but come on how many of you are launching 2 step on the street? After the drag run simply disconnect the phone jack and turn the wheel. My buddy did this on his dsm and it works well. I could prolly post a pic tomorrow if anyone is interested.

There's some wires under the wheel for horn and cruise after they come through the rotary contact assembly in the steering column. I used an ohm meter to figure them out. I used one of the cruise wires and put a small switch on the wheel that grounded it. I ran that to a relay under the hood. I use it for my 2-stage boost controller, but you could use it for whatever.

ok so you can seperate the buttons, my point was you still only have one wire comming from the column=one function, unless you have cruise control.
