Default boost contoller

can I raise the boost on an internal wastegate with a boost controller? If I can, where does it hook up? There's only one line comming from the wastegate.

a MBC can be installed on that line. works great on every car I have done it on. lets you get full boost earlier and of course turn it up also. I'm don't think an electronic one would be installed with the factory actuator, not sure though.

You can tighten or loosen the actuator rod if I'm not mistaken.

If it's adjustable you can. or you can carefuly bend it to make it shorter. I'm not sure how much of a gain you can get though.

I just put a saab T3 on a 97 golf and the kid said he couldn't get it past 7psi by adjusting the actuator. maybe he doesn't really know what he's doing.

nah i have an internal and my rod acuator rod only alllows me to do 5psi... the shorter the rod the higher the boost... if u get a MBC just losen the rod all the way and set it to 0 .. then install the MBC and set the boost from there.

In other words, it wouldn't be possible to run an electronic boost controller on a greddy kit with internal wg?

Yes, you can run a boost controller on a internal wastegate. Installation is a little different than an external, but its not hard at all.

You can run any boost controller on any wastegate actuated turbocharger.
