Bone yard boost on d16z6.
Ladies and gents I am back. You are looking at my newly boosted EG. I got that car about three months ago from a friend. At that time the car was white and had some ricy Z3 fenders and was dumped on some APC coils with stock struts. One up side is that it is a 1993 CX and has been swapped with a 95 D16Z6 ( 2020 Lbs with only the spare gone from the interior). The car was also received with a JDM **** carbon fiber hood. It currently has 14 inch Del Sol wheel painted black with Falken 512?s. The APC suspension was swapped out and replaced with Bilsteins and Eibach springs (Thank you Sterling for the great deal on those). The fenders and bumper was replaced with stock and the car was dropped of to be painted (steel gray metallic).Pics of my car right after I got it painted click here http://www.ef-honda.com/main/viewtopic.php?t=1772. Once the exterior was done the turbo project was commenced.
The turbo project was all custom work. I used a ported HF manifold with a BMC adapter plate. I chose to go with a T25 because they are a great turbo to run for street fun. It spools up at around 2,000-2,500 rpm and pulls to about 6,000-7,000 rpm. I took the sock wastegate and threaded it for a bit more of adjustability. I also took advantage of the stock T25 o2 housing as well. The down pipe was made with 2.5? piping to match my exhaust. The cat was also removed during the down pipe fabrication. The Steel braided oil feed line was bought from Fast-Turbo.com (get prices for anybody that is looking). I used an oil drain off of a Saab T3 turbo. The coolant lines are all OEM Mitsu. For cooling my charge air I went with a DSM side mount intercooler. The reason I went with that is because I am not a flash car kind of guy so I thought the SMIC would be pretty unnoticeable? and it is. I ran 2? charge piping fro everything. If you look closely you can see that I am running a pretty inconspicuous BOV right in front of my pass. shock tower (bolted to the engine bay). I was worried that the side-mounted intercooler would not be enough cooling for me but I was wrong. Every time I have driven it so far the charge piping is cool to the touch, even after a 3-hour drive back from Chicago. For fuel I am running DSM 450?s with stock OBD1 clips. Yes, OBD1 clips fit ( just need to modified a bit). I used the solderless installà found here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=736737. I also am running a EM1 fuel pump. For fuel management I am running Uberdata. The car is great and runs perfect. I run 7lbs in the low gears and 7-9lbs in the upper gears. I hope it hold up well and dose not leave me stranded on the side of the road. Sorry no dyno #'s of times yet.
Big thanks goes out to: Paul, Adam, Kev, Luke, Hugo, Jeremy (charge pipe master), Rob, and the rest of 075 for the support.

Re: (1bar)
i love it.
sorry for the nub question but what's the difference between that T25 and a 14b?
i love your setup, but the only problem i see is the length of the intercooler piping. a front mount would do you nice, if you painted it black. it would some of that unnecessary ic piping down some, and leave room for an upgraded turbo down the line.
job though

Re: (ixiblindixi)
i love my side mount. cools perfect and it is very unnoticeable. and not to mention if i painted it black it would cut down the cooling effect.
I chose every thing in my kit for a reason. i wanted to go pretty stock looking.

I'm looking at the inlets on the BOV, and now I wanna see the completed charge piping.
Nice project.
Edit, must be nice to have a brake for making heatshields, that looks so nice. See junkyard stuff can look top notch, It always amazes me how a coat of spraypaint can make just about anything look professional.

I've reccomended several ppl to you solderless resistor box intstall, as a matter of fact it's time to bump that thread, from the dead.
