And I told you that there are no roots blowers that are available for your car. You would have to do a fully custom setup. Are you reading your own thread? Rmcdaniels answered the portion of your question reguarding people who have tried this. There aren't any to date.
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Bpowered »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> like i said a million times over though....i was jsut wondering if anybody had taken a shot at this or not. other than that i don't particularly care about your arguments over turbo vs. supercharger. </TD></TR></TABLE>
1) That question was answered. No, no one has tried it and there are no roots kits available for the S2000.
2) I'm not arguing turbocharger vs supercharger. I already know what's better for Honda's and why.
What is the point of your thread to this point? You are recieving answers and writing them off telling us that you are looking for answers that we already answered.
Here's a recap:
-There are no roots blowers on the market for S2000s
-No one has attempted to put a roots blower on an S2000.
-Centrifugal kits are available
-Turbo setups cost as much as Centrifugal setups and are more responsive and make more power with bigger powerbands and more torque.
-Just turbo the damn thing.
I read the entire thread.

I guess I should have just been straight to the point like you SovXietday....

ok guys, i'm not in the market for either turbo or supercharger...i don't have that kind of money at this point. I also KNOW that NONE of the large companies (jackson, comptech, vortech, etc.) make a roots blower kit. But i also know that some of you guys like to try out some pretty crazy setups...heck i've seen the s2k's with the 2jz swap...so is it too crazy for me to ask if anybody has tried this????? I said earlier that this thread was really just to activate my account. i didn't want people flingin poo....just wondering if anybody had tried this....as i now know...this is apparently something that nobody has wanted try, which satisfies my my original question....anybody have any info on a roots blower?.....not why a turbo is better than a blower...not that there are already centrifugal kits....and not how one could be more beneficial than the other......just if anyone has tried. So if any of you have at some point tried this or at least considered what would need to be done, than i'd like to discuss your ideas just to see what you think. I'm not here to knock anybody else's techniques i'm just interested in something different
and sorry i'm not trying to plug a business. just trying to convey to those trying to push turbos, that i do have experience with both and that i do know that a properly sized and developed turbo kit can be extremely reliable etc. like i said i just happen to be kinda partial to the blower...i like the power, the sound, the experience of it....it's a personal opinion, and knowing that there are no major kits on the market, i figured this would be a good chance to see if anybody had tried this themselves at home....i'm not trying to make enemies here....just wondering if if this was a project someone had tried
from what i've read and heard this would be another great option for s/c

You would have to figure out how to mate an M90 blower assembly to an intake manifold and also have a custom pulley made and will need to have the snout built to length so that it will be able to be driven by one of the accessory belts.
Might I suggest starting with a ruler?

LOL
Why don't you have your shop develop a roots blower for a S2000 and report back.

M62 blower kit with PWR aftercooler, from the same guys that do this on Miatas.

Just do like Endyn did, cut off a stock manifold at the runners, weld a rectangular aluminum plate to it, then build a little box plenum around it, 5 pieces of metal, 12 welds. Cut a port with mounting holes positioned so an M90 fits on there with the pulley lined up and go. You can embed a couple of Laminova cores in it if you want to get fancy, but the basic setup is something that I could do in my little workshop with hand tools and a couple of trips to my local welder.

Yes but you're a certified badass who makes things happen, most other people suck. I'm with you, the engine spins the right way already, it's probably about the right size to match an M62, it's a shame most S2K owners don't care for fabrication.

I was thinking more like a Magnum Powers M90, that or one of the new TVS R1320's. Those are out in the aftermarket for the Cobalts, so maybe you could get your hands on one. Like Minor Threat said, the motor spins the right way, so there's a lot of blowers out there to pick from, Whipple 140AX's are compact and very efficient to almost 1300 CFM at 30 PSI. That would be very very badass on an S2K.
Lol, it's on the wrong side!

Certainly not hard, just have to get the snout right that's all.

If you see later pictures in the link I posted, you will see why its on that side. So, they could put a pwr barrel air to water intercooler inbetween the blower and intake manifold.

Yeah, I picked that up. Just commenting on how the intake was sitting... well... over the exhaust manifold.
