The STR D-series blockguard that I originally bought for my ZC didn't fit...go figure

As far as I know they dont make one, I bought the Nuformz and STR, both didnt fit for d16 apps.. I ended up sending my block to Endyn and had posting/stud support installed. This is the same type of setup Larry (t.o.o) uses on his 27psi SOHC civic.

Quote "We manufacture aluminum studs that are the exact same alloy and heat treat as the Honda block. We've calculated the point of maximum piston side thrust on both the primary and secondary thrust axis and we drill and tap holes through the side of the block in these locations. We use an extremely high heat epoxy as a sealant and screw the studs (posts in Nascar lingo) in until the contact the outer cylinder wall with a torque of 2 inch pounds. This places one post per cylinder on the exhaust side of the block and two per cylinder on the intake side (primary thrust axis.)
If the torque exceeds the 2 inch pound figure, the posts will deform the cylinder "

So far so good, here is a pic on my ZC

12 studs total

Jeff
