Default Black smoke when in boost

Does anyone get a small cloud of black smoke when it boost? My A/F is at about 12.0 and everytime I boost, there's black smoke coming from the exhaust. Should I lean it out a bit, if so what should I lean it out to?

my motor is damn near perfect, no oil burning at all, and i get that black puff of smoke under hard boost, it is perfectly normal from all the fuel being dumper in at one time and alll the boost and stress you are doing to your motor, but seriously its better than detonation

Man i get a car sized black cloud out mine in full boost. I guess that is why i dont understand the egt probs. But for real leave it alone. Its not worth the small hp gain you would get to lean it out and risk the motor.

Blue and white means your motor/headgasket is probably busted. Black means you are running rich. Running too rich is bad also. Overly-rich mixtures dilute engine oil which causes viscous breakdown and loss of lubrication. It is not advisable to go richer than 11:1 A/F.

even cars that are bone stock will have a small(very small if stock) puff of black smoke when they hit the gas. it's normal. if you were running way way to rich you would feel the engine bog and misfire as well as have the black cloud.

bluish white smoke is oil burning. white smoke is water/coolant and can also be small amount of oil.

Rule of thumb....if its working, dont mess with it.

If your trust the tuner enough to make sure that everything it fine. Just leave it alone

12:1 is nearly perfect for staying safe. Keep it there.

I read someone put Blue means headgasket......that's wrong.

Blue=Rings.......burning oil. Either your turbo seals would be out or rings gone

White=mixture of coolant in the exhuast......blown head gasket.

No cat.. just 2.5" downpipe flared to a 3" exhaust.

That's why you can see the smoke.
