bkr7e or bkr8e
first off, its recomended to run 2 steps colder than the stock heat range right?
so im wondering, if the stock h22 heat range is 6, shoul i go with the 7's or 8's
im going to be running around 12psi on the street (since my w/g spring is a .7bar) and around 15-18psi at the track.

6's: 300-350whp level
7's: 350whp-450whp level
8's: 450whp-600whp level
</TD></TR></TABLE>
12psi would put me in place for the 7 heat range, but 15-18psi would put me in the 8 heat range.
so, since my stock heat range is already 6 should i go with 7's or 8's?
most people are saying go with the 7's but thats only ons step colder, will that be ok?

Stupid question but what plug manufacturer are those part numbers from? I've been running a set of OEM plugs re gapped with no problems up to 11 psi. But, it's about time for me to start looking for a "safer" set.

Re: bkr7e or bkr8e (nlc)
you should be able to have NAPA or Schucks order them for you. check out http://www.NGK.com for the stock number and just give that to the counter guy.
EDIT: I checked the NGK side and they don't make ZFR8F-11 or the BKR8E.
I would just go with the ZFR7F-11's gapped at .035 and call it a day.

starting to lean toward 7's b/c i have 9.5:1 compression, but dont feel safe b/c its still only 1 step colder ahhh!

I tried these plugs out and my friend runs these plugs in his 2.0l turbo gsr pushing out 600+whp. The only thing bad about running such a cold plug is it can flood out really easy during cold starts. Other than that, it's great.

I would just go with the ZFR7F-11's gapped at .035 and call it a day. </TD></TR></TABLE>
Those are the Stock replacement plug type. They have the extended tip which sticks the plug into the combustion chamber more. The BkR/BPR____ are the non extended tips. The extended tips are more condusive to Pre-ignition.
I wouldnt Use the Stock heat range plus if your turbo regardless.
The Colder plugs foul a bit quicker, but its well worth the 8$ spark plug change

Whats the part # for the 8's?
I can go down to advance and get the 7's, which they have in stock, but couldn't find part # for the 8's...
