Default bit of a different turbo setup, sub 2k$

heres a short video of our sub 2k$ crx. been built with parts cars, buying/selling, etc.

ls motor, ys1 trans w/ some randon JDM lsd diff. header=wrecked MUGEN header we cut apart (took it out of the King motorsports dumpster) and made into a sidewinder manifold.

just drove it from chicago to grand rapids michigan before luke shot this video. should be a good time. car ran an 11.9 last year, shooting for safety limiting the car this year-11.5. also , its gotta FLY through an autox and look good for the event its going to.

yeah, i cut the ls manifold off, got rid of EGR, etc. hogged out the 3 inches of runner left, my brother CNC'd a velocity stack'd plate, and we used random 4'' aluminum tube and junky cutoffs of 3/16'' sheet, and a cut apart piece of Ebay turbo kit charge piping (the TB elbow) for the rest of the intake manifold. no IACV, just a trottle stop for idle. works GREAT also. car got about 30 MPGs going to michigan (160 miles, left chicago at midnight. CRAZY night.). brought our other challenge car down with me to get a cage put in. we're bringing two CRXs down to florida this year

Needless to say this would be front-page material for rhmt. Are you ever planning on dynoing it? I'd like to see how that intake works out - very unusual design.

Might want to BOLD the part that the header was wrecked, you might get some fanbois flaming you.

REALLY INTERESTINING SETUP ESPECIALLY THE INTAKE MANIFOLD!

i think a stock evo IX turbo would be great for one of that competition. What turbo is that, you are running?

its an SVO turbo (center section and exhaust wheel), with .63 housing, and the cold side is some to4b t4 that we had sitting around off of an industrial turbo we had sitting around. my brother took it off of a car and put a MONSTER on it.

we'll dyno it sometime for sure. maybe before the event, maybe not.

the header came off former-king-employee clayton's ITR, which his dad accidentally put into a berm
