Big T3, or Small T4/T3?
I'm building a Budget LS/VTEC this winter with all the Cheap Stuff
Shotpeened Rods, Heat Coated Stock Pistons (.020 Over), Everything Balanced, ARP Hardware, B16a1 Head, GSR Cams, Etc...
Basically I'm trying my first attempt at building a Motor, and I don't wanna waste the good stuff on a failed attempt. I'm going to try and see how far I can get with it. Did I mention I was going to Girdle it with a Machined GSR Girdle?
Anyways, I'm also going to be putting together a Budget Turbo Kit...Did I mention I was on a Budget? I need something thats going to be efficient upto
12PSI @ 7500RPM...Actually, after I get everything tuned with Hondata, I will run it @ 14PSI @ 7500 RPM.
Turbo Choice? I'm leaning toward a T3 with a Big Housing, or a Smaller T4/T3.
Whatever I get is going to be a Rebuilt Turbo.
Can I get some good links to some calculator sites, and Compressor Maps?
Thanks...My Goal is to run some 11s with this setup. I'm gonna run it on the ragged edge definately. Dead Nuts Tuning. This is going into my EG.

Well, Dave.. it depends on what you want. Do you want a nice street car with quick boost or a nasty 1/4 car with some lag but monster top end?
If you want monster top end but still sorta streetable, stick with a T04E 57 trim with a .63 A/R exhaust w/ Stage III wheel.
Those T3's will be too small for that motor.

Do you mean a Full T04e? That would be way too big...
I'm guessing your mean T04e 57Trim Compressor, T3 .63 Exhaust Housing and a Stage III Wheel, correct?
Thanks

a slightly massaged t3 super 60 from turbonetics, or in house made by a decent turbo repair shop will be about as good as a cheap t3/4 - will make around 350hp, but unless your car has all the suspension work and is light (say 2200 or less) you will not run. the girdle is good idea but gets expensive - you need 6 gsr main bolts (three centre caps) two main and rear from ls which they dont make, gsr windage tray and oil pick up, i just bend the ls pickup myself. eg. 350hp in a 1900lbs all suspensioned out car with drag spool will do 10's. or in a peg legged 2500 teg 12 I hav even seen bad drivers do 13's still. the price difference for your turbo cant be more than 100, spend it wisely. - oh yeah brong a wheel barrow to the track so you can pick up all your parts after the run.

My Cars ~ 2000 Pounds.
Gutted CX Hatch <------Daily Driver but I'm kewl with that
Anyways...You think I'll blow my **** up @ 14PSI?
I'm hoping to be running a LS Tranny with an LSD.
It's mostly street driven, so Spool time is kinda Important.
Suspension will be KYB AGX and GC's...Im planning on 350f\700r.
Thanks for Input
