Default beware NoOb Questions!

ok guy, my first post,

I am not looking for to spit out the *what does it take* or the *how to build ###HP*
what i am asking for is some direction, i am entering this knowing that this thread will be bashed...a lot and ppl have probably asked this question a million times, so i am going to ask it in the way my brain works.

without further wait, the build HP goal will be 380-430WHP given a 50hp swing because I dont really know if I am on the right track?

B18c1 block stock sleeves(bored to .XXX to make all the same)
B18c1 head P&P (have ITR Valve train, not sure but i think they will fit)
B18c1 crank p&b
Eagle H-Beams
JE Pistons- 10:1
Injectors-RC550(may not be big enough or to high duty cycle for comfort)
Cams-???
Turbo-???( want to have low boost at the 4th 5th gear 60-70 range for some DD)
Trans is a B16 with OBX LSD *(can change 4th and 5th gear to diff to make the above statement poss.)*
Clutch-???
will be running 93 for DD and VP Motorsport 109 Unleaded
I am not focused on the HP # at the 93 but the 109 only.(will turn boost down for any DD I do...which is a given for since on 93 oct.)
Tune-Hondata(professionally tuned)

Am I on the right track to my goals? and the parts with the ??? is what I am asking for your opinions on.

You know these questions have been asked a hundred times, but you still choose to post, instead of reading the FAQ sticky...FAQ sticky, FAQ sticky, FAQ sticky. Seriously, a little bit of reading goes a long way. Your questions will be easily answered there, and on the off-chance that a question isn't answered, your showing that you've already read the FAQ sticky will go a long way. As it sits right now, I'm resisting the urge to call you a lazy git. You're new, so I'm being nice, but don't do **** like this in the future.

I can tell you right now those injectors will NOT be big enough, not by a long shot. Find an online injector sizing calculator, then round up. You should be looking more in the 1000cc/min injector range.

Type R cams are fine for your goal. Crower 401's or 402's would also be a good aftermarket option, but go for their NA profile rather than the turbo profile. I don't know why, I just know it's been said many times, by people smarter than myself, who actually understand all that ****. The 401's can be used with Type R springs and retainers, the 402's will need upgraded springs and retainers, if that helps your decision at all.

You'll get a lot of recommendations about your turbo, but I'm a fan of either a Garrett 3071 or 2876, or a STC Hunter.

Clutch is entirely up to personal preference. Get an idea of what kind of torque you'll be making (easily done by looking at other people's similar builds), and then buy a clutch that can handle more than that. If a clutch isn't rated by torque, don't buy it.

Beware! Didn't read FAQs! (and even kinda brags about it lol)
If you know the drill, don't be a dumbass and ignore it.
109 is not even remotely needed for your goals, save the money on the separate tunes and just do it on 93 for now.
750cc should be fine, dunno why some people (cough cough notaracist) over estimate so hard on injectors when clearly people have achieved it on smaller ones, I myself got 1000s just to future proof though :p

Get a competition clutch, thrown in b16 or Gsr cams an your good.

Depending on budget is how you will find what turbo

You seriously recommended b16 cams for a boosted motor?

Op disregard this whole post because he obviously doesnt know what hes talking about

As for your goals
Skip the port and polish.

1000cc injectors

I prefer aem over hondata. If your tuner cant tune at the very least aem then he isnt a " professional"

I wish I had the plate info off of my turbo, but a t3/t4 .57 trim Garret that tops off at ~400 HP is a good fit for you. It is the one that GoAutoworks sells with their turbo kits, I just don't recall what it is exactly.

GSR cams are better than B16 cams, but you can make 400 wHP on B16 cams if you want.

750cc injectors will work, 1000cc ID injectors are probably a solid all around bet though. I have 750cc RCs. Meh

I'd use a cheap clutch kit like ACT or something, I wouldn't go overboard. You'll be in the 200-something TQ range which is what the clutches are rated by.

93 octane all the way. You can make more power on 93 than your goal and it will keep it consistent.

I'm not sure in Hondata has similar options to NeptuneRTP, but the RTP lets you select 'stored' tunes. I'd use an electronic boost controller in conjunction with that and run something like 200-250 wHP daily and save the 400 for the track.

This is literally my build....

He doesn't need cams at all for his goals, b16 cams are cheap. 1000cc injectors are way overkill; kick rocks you *****

Oh AND you suggested a 1000 dollar engine management that's twice as expensive for literally no reason.
Surprised how stupid some of the members here with builds and veteran can be

Would never recommend b16 cams when gsr are the exact same price

For 93 octane turbo. I think 1000cc would be needed on E85, but I know his power can be done on 750cc injectors with 93 octane pump gas. But, in my opinion, 1000cc injectors are pretty common and you can probably get a good deal on them used.

B16 cams do suck. You pick up power literally everywhere with GSR cams. At least, that's what I've seen. But you can make 400 whp with B16 cams. At least it is a VTEC head, right?

Not to really get into this conversation, but the price differential between AEM EMS v2 and the Hondata really is not as much as one would think. Although I personally don't use either one, I have experienced both on a regular basis, and AEM is just lot nicer to integrate without fear of counterfeit and nonsense parts, nicer people for support, and more professionals using them then even the Hondata stuff (Because Hondas are not in every businesses's brain, contrary to what may be believed).

It's not a bad idea. you can even find them used for reasonable prices.
Just sayin' .... carry on.

Jesus, do you know how to read?
I even saved him from getting 109, he doesn't need cams but ok b16 cams you happy?
Traction control isn't needed I you know how to drive, cop definitely isn't need for anywhere near his power level, bbg is nice but you can DIY or pay for someone to wire it.
Either way,
My suggestion - good minus cams
Yours - overpriced and hella unnecessary

Curious on one part shodan, I seem to recall you saying that you didn't like aem because they don't actually make anything and that you think rebranded stuff is a fad for lack of better words. I believe this is thrice I've seen you sticking up for and almost (and sometimes) suggesting aem equipment.

I have nothing against them personally, I actually like aem myself, I trust your judgment though:p

You're right. As a company from my experience these last 18 years, no.. I'm not a fan.. However, my personal preference shouldn't interfere with my impartiality for their use, or sway a comparison between OEM ECU-based equipment vs. a standalone. To me, the standalone wins.

Call it..... a preference of the "lesser of the two evils".

Just because I don't like it, doesn't mean that it shouldn't be used.

Yea you can find them used for a good deal and they idle great from what I hear. I'm on a supercharger I doubt I'll ever get passed 350 HP but I'm sure I'll get close but you can with a turbo for sure so having more injector is always good.

To bad I had to sell my entire AEM cop and v2 ems from my last setup. Car ran great on the AEM V2 and C.O.P setup, i even had there fail safe gauge. Now I'm poor and back to my old hondata S100 lol

Traction control isnt needed yet every ems offers it

Bbg isnt needed yet every ems offers it

Cop isnt needed yet hondata offers it

You know a cop setup can do a lot more than just better spark right? Ill let you figure out the other added benefits of it.

Or if you cant wrap your little brain around it let me know ill hold ur hand
