i just did a search with no no success
please tell me what you guys think.........i just cracked a valve on my car because i ran too much timing with spray
the turbo is going in soon so instead of replacing the one i am going to replace them all and need some assistance on which to get (brand, and oversized or not, etc.)
thanks in advance

since the heads are made for NA, would it be dumb just to oversize the Ex valves? I mean to get the gas out of there faster. Getting it in there would be less of a problem since its forced. But evacuating the spent gas is more of a problem. I must have read it somewhere, on FI cars, more attention should be focused to the EX side (oversized, unshrouding...)
Anyone?
Anyone?
I thought that the only itme you wanted oversize valves is when you went with overbore pistons. As someone said, to deshroud the valves.

Any other comments on only oversizing the exhaust valves? I also heard about the exhaust being more improtant since the air is forced through the intake anyways. Also, I still want bottom end since my car is going to be a street beeter and I'm assuming volume vs. velocity applies to this situation.

What side should you oversize? If you're keeping stock bore?

Inconel might be the best material you can get, but I'm sure the price is through the roof, and probably a little overkill for most street cars.. For people who don't know what inconel is, I think burns stainless has a small article on their site about it.

I'm curious. At what power levels do stainless steel valves (or any other type of aftermarket valve) become "needed"? Or conversly, at what power level do stock valves become a liability?
I figure I'm spending a grip on my block to do it right the first time, don't want to leave my head as the weakest link. At the moment my GS-R head it fitted with stock exhaust valves, ITR intake valves, ITR springs and Crower ti retainers. Redline to max @8k w/stock GS-R cams. Any advice for a 400whp range...?
Sorry to piggy back on the thread, but it seemed close enough to the topic
