Default Best Turbo Filter?

Right now I'm running a K&N RU-2420 filter on my turbo and I feel like it may be restricting air flow a bit. When I was running just a mesh it was obviously more responsive and quicker to spool up but there are obvious cons to running just a mesh. Is there a better cone than the K&N that restricts less or is it just something we have to live with in order to protect our turbos?

live with it to protect your turbo. but its way better than just running mesh. also if you slap a pipe on there and get the filter away from the turbo it is much better and adds HP. when i dynoed mine i had just a filter on it and then we added intake piping to get it away from the turbo and with the same settings and everything i gained 12hp.

forget just protecting the turbo, when you run just mesh on a street car you suck in all sorts of debris, liek pebbles and sand/dust that all kills your engine.

Ran my car for 25,000 miles with mesh, when I tore it apart it looked minty fresh. Of course I would never recommend that, I'm probably just lucky.

You may want to state what kind of filter you have on your bike, unless the OP knows you, plus it will help out others that may search and find the thread.
