Default Best motor to boost?

I was wondering what was the best Honda motor to boost. I don't have to go too crazy, just stock internals.

Can a B20 handle 7 psi?

as long as you tune it right, probably. remember, boost in big turbo is different than boost in a small turbo.

B20 is a bored out LS. Thinner sleeves.

then why does a CRV make more power? Is it dangerous for a turbo?

and how much can i expect to spend on a small turbo kit?

It has more displacement. Displacement = power.

No it's not. The B20's have thicker sleeves, but the design make them extremely weak. Don't waste you time on stock B20 sleeves, they are garbage, anything that tells you different doesn't know what they are talking about. Search and you will see plenty of info as to why they are crappy.

The best motor to boost? There is no such thing, but the B18c1/5 (GSR and ITR) are the best all around motors honda made in my opinion. You can use those motor for just about anything. Good r/s ratio, good stock heads and cams, and not much is needed to make big power with them.

Word. Didn't know that. I just mess with crappy SOHC engines.
