I'm planning on buying the greddy kit for my sohc... i know you can get it with a intercooler but i heard it wasnt that great. What would be a good match up with the greddy kit and ..... which intercooler?

 

The greddy/trust intercoolers are top notch in my opinion. What have you heard about the intercoolers that is so bad? Greddy always gets a bad rep, but nobody can ever say why . Trust me the greddy intercoolers are nice

 

very nice intercoolers. If it's just the sohc, you'd just need the type 31. I use the type 24 in my car. This car should make around 500whp shortly and the greddy intercooler will be enough.

 

you could do that and or buy a conquest starion unit for 75-100.00$

Would a Greddy intercooler work well in a custom application? I'm looking at piecing together my kit with an SC44 Precision Turbo and I would like to use the Greddy intercooler because I heard they fit very nicely.

 

yea, i'm using the greddy type 24 in my setup. A 00 civic coupe, gsr motor, T4 turbo. The intercooler fits perfect. You'll just need to get your pipes made.

 

get the type 31. i run the type 31 on my y8 so it should do the job.

 

So the Greddy intercooler kit doesn't come with piping?

 

Oh no i'm sorry, for me with the B18C1 swap I needed custom pipes made and I got them bigger than what greddy supplies you with. Sorry for the confusion.

 

What size does Greddy send, 2.25"?

Also, do they send the piping that goes directly from the turbo to the intercooler? If so, would there be any problems if I weren't using a Greddy turbo?

 

i'm not sure if the piping will meet up perfectly. I think it was 2.25 though. When i got the greddy turbo kit and intercooler kit for my car when it was a sohc it fit perfect. But the kit came for that car. I seriously think you'll have to get custom piping done.
