Don't ask about closed decks. It is not the way to go and we won't do them. Benson is the only block I have used in my race car. I have never had a sleeve problem, overheating problem or a blown head gasket with my Benson block.</TD></TR></TABLE>
hmm, you might wanna read up before making comments in someones thread
i had a block sleeved w/ darton closed decks , looked awesome but i never got to see it perform i'd either choose the darton closed deck or the Benson sleeves.

not really...either go with aebs or darton...they are both proven....just make sure you get them installed in house (if they offer it, im not sure) or by a machine shop that knows what they are doing

im not even sure why you are determined on getting closed deck..what kinda power are you planning on making?

Ive just heard good things on how closed deck is better for boost, as the pix show up above there is still coolant flow to the top of the cylinder walls, that block is nice as hell. I plan on making as much power as i can my goal is 450-500!! i hope it will make a lil more but i guess time and tuning will tell.

closed and open deck doesn't matter. just about all the sleeve companies are guarenteed not to crack upto about 50lbs of pressure. It has been proven that open deck can handle 600+whp. So just take your pic between Benson, GE, RS, Darton, Aebs ,(Not in any particuler order)and you should be fine.
