Re: best bov? (deeweezy)
I personally like the sound of the HKS SSQ.
A lotta people also like the sound of the Blitz
Both are nice units.
Do a search and there should be some found files to download

I am using the Blitz, and I like it. However, I do like the sound of the HKS quite a bit!

A good sounding BOV is all up to you.
One person might think the HKS sounds awesome while another might hate it. Just get what you feel like.
I personally am using a Blitz Dual Drive.

bov sounds are all different, but make note:
the HKS BOV is a pull type bov vs. others which are pull type. The hks just wont' leak. The spring goes perpendicular to the pressure of the charge pipe. WHile others go parallel.

i believe some have been known to leak, not because of the pull-type, but because of the c-clip retainer design.

Most have been because of faulty install. They put in the rubber gasket the wrong way.

if you want good sound get the rfl turbo xs rfl they are loud @ like 6 psi let alone 15 they sound good but the best functioning bov is the tail the design the spring everything about it is amazing you just need some real boost to open that up a good 20 lbs will work for me

Re: best bov? (deeweezy)
I like my blitz unit but if i were to get another one, it would more than likely be the TIAL unit, it looks like it will vent the charge much quicker with its 360 degree vents. I hear its not as loud though, but honestly thats not what a BOV is for, its to protect against compressor surge and keep spool up times minimal. But they do sound cool

Re: (25 PSI CRX)
How well is the RFL made? What are the boost ranges of that bov? The sound of my Greddy Type S has gotten old, looking for something different now.

Re: (ELSpool)
I have the rfl and I like it.. its cheap and works great.. we ran one on a 24psi dsm and it worked perfectly. Plus depending where you look you can pick them up for about $150.

Re: (ELSpool)
not sure about you guys but my hks is really loud to me, louder than alot of the other bov's i have ever heard and I am only running 5.5psi. I think is sounds great too but sometimes it would be really nice to have a diverter valve that was almost silent.

Re: (killerslp)
I bought the new blitz design at first it sounded good but was a little to quite so i sold it and got a used older version of the blitz from ebay it was off a jdm silvia. it is loud as hell at only 8 psi. evry one always said it was loud but i couldn't tell mush in the car but i got my car dynoed this weekend and it was the loudest blowoff i've ever heard.
