BB t28 good for a d16z6?
As some of you know I plan on turboing my d16 in my sol. The main thing I'm undecided on is the turbo. I've been considering running a dsm turbo, but have found very few in even a rebuildable condition for a reasonable price, if I'm going to buy a used turbo the most I want to spend is 250-300. I found a very good deal on a t28 ball earing turbo, but it does need a rebuild. The reason I' considering it is because it's BB and will spool quicker. My ? is will this turbo easily support around 200-225whp (the motor will have IM, TB, cam, and tuned on crome pro...I don't plan to build up the motor because of how cheap replacements are.)
That is about the perfect turbo for a d16
Ball bearing turbos require a new center section and you should research what that will cost before you buy it.Might want to price a new one.A T3 .48 .60 works well too if you want quickish spool.

If you can get it for that price go for it. I'm using a T3 .60/.48 and it would be perfect for your goals. Gets 10psi at 3800rpms. I'm making somewhere around 220whp and it's still got plenty more left in it.
well assuming the damn thing can be rebuilt it has a .60a/r and hs M24 on it. According to the prevous owner of it it'll be good for up to 18lbs, butwho knows how good that really is because according to a few people after taking a look at it it might not even be rebuildable
