base fuel pressure
I was just wondering what my base fuel pressure should be a near idle. I am reading 40psi now. It is a 84mm b16a w/880cc injectors (aem rail). Should be pressure be higher or lower?
it can be whatever you want it to be at. Depends on too many things. Usually people will adjust the pressure up if the duty cycles get too high. If you have no reason to change it then leave it the way it is.
This is a fresh build and the car idles very poorly and I was wondering if maybe the FP could be attributing to it. What is everyone elses base fuel pressue average?

The tune prob has to do with it. You are supposed to make sure the fuel and timing maps are on if you want it to idle correctly. What fuel management are using?

Hondata s200. Like I said, this is a fresh build and has not been tuned yet, the hondata is just running a rough basemap until my dyno appointment. The rail and reg came off my old turbo stock b16a and the fuel pressure is still set for whatever the tune was for.

you answered your own question then , if its not tuned, then thats why itsa a lumpy idle. When its tuned and figured out it prob wont do that. have patience and let the tuner do his thing
