Default Bad day at the track

Raced at Battle today. I made it to semi finals and got killed by jasons car. I tried to pull some fuses out but to my understanding it made is car faster. (less weight) anyway congrats to jason and stan on today.

I thought I was gonna read..."Right as I launched out of the hole, bang....axle(or motor) blew"..lol. Good thing you just lost a race

Really nice setup btw...11's in a coupe is awesome IMHO.....do you daily drive the car or is it track only??

Both of the cars from Altered looked real good. The Stealth was nice trappin 130's.
My buddy Ben took 1st in Street NA with a 12.2 @108, with a best of a 12.19@110.
Congrats to Jason managing a 10.3@144 with shitty track conditions. Way to go!

That race with the WRX was so funny. He had me by like 6 cars and i caught him at the end. I won by .004 of a second. That was something i didnt expect. Well we did a compression check and it was ok now i have to do a leak down. I have ARP headstuds so it should be ok unless the head is lifting that much. Oh well i have like 4 days to get it ready for englishtown this weekend. we are going to turn the boost up alittle and do some better tuning. Hope to see you guys there. Jason dont come.

Nice to meet you too Jason, eheh the 12.2's came from "some" work a little dyno time getting the cams and fuel right. Hehe Ben lift weights? LOL he used to before his accident.... I gotta get him back in the gym... he'da run an 11.9 if he worked out once in a while! (jk Ben) Man I was on my toes for that run between Ben and Charlie.... his rex hauls! (pretty car too) and the first time driving the car is very respectable.. congrat to him as well
Hey way to drive to that 10.3 with the shotty track conditions! congrats!

Is his block sleeved? Which brings up another question:

Is it a must to sleeve a block to abtain a high amout of HP and boost?
And when I say this, I mean, still doing rods and pistons with say a Hondata and really good tuning?

Because I plan to go turbo next year but I don't think I will be sleeving the block, but, I will be doing Rods,Pistons and Hondata with 550cc injectors.

Need some opinions please

his block is sleeved. from bensons in california. his compression is in the 8's by the way. and no, you don't have to have a sleeved motor to run high hsp/boost. my car wasn't sleeved and ran more than 500 hsp to the wheels at over 26 lbs of boost.

Thanks for the reply jinxproof99.

What does it take to get about 400-425 HP out of a built GSR motor with stock sleeves?

jinxproof99: Can you give me a run down of mods to make a that much HP safely, well tuned?

All info is very much appreciated. Thanks
