Default Bad Blow off valve

I think that my BOV may be damaged. With throttle closure it makes a horrible noise mixed with pshhhhh. I can't imagine that it is the turbo b/c it is brand new. What are the symptoms of a clogged or damaged BOV? I tried adjusting the screw with no success. It was never changed and always held boost in the past. I need some help before I go and buy another HKS SS BOV. I need as many responses as possible by Friday. Thanks. My car has a Drag 3. It is wayyyy powerful under boost and no smoke at all, so I don't think the engine is damaged.

Yeah... I think its broke. I heard the life expectancy is only like 2 months on a bov. Maybe thats the problem.

my BOV is going on 2 years and havnt had a problem yet. who did you hear that the life expectancy is 2 months??? your BOV may be stuck open or shut, thats why you are hearing that noise, also make sure your C-clip is installed correctly and isnt coming out of the BOV flange groove. try adjusting the hardness/softness of the BOV, if that doesnt work try replacing it with one of your friends bov and see if that fixes things.
