Hey guys I’m looking to boost my b20v high compression,
i bought the car with the current setup and wandering if it could be boosted with the high compression on 93-octane

information on the setup:

B20 with stock B16 vtec head.
B16vtec head is stock unworked with stock valves and stock b16vtec cams.
Custom energy suspension urithane mounts
Stock crank and rods machined/trued for ARP rod bolts.
Pistons are 12:1 PR3 style to work with the B16vtec cylinder head. cometic head gasket
ARP head studs.


my goal is 400whp

Short answers... Can you? Sure.. Should you? No. 12 is really pushing the envelope on pump gas.

 

Thats a very big target on 93 for your setup.
300whp on a BIG turbo might work and that on a good turbo manifold.

 

Cast high compression pistons + 93 octane + turbo = no. The car would have 0 longevity, and 0 room for error in tuning. One bad batch of gas would ruin it.
