stock cam gears ( for now )
supertech duel valve springs

precision 6765 turbo

what do you guys think about that setup up?
I was wondering if that turbo was too big?
Also would i get decent amount of power running 450's injectors on 10 pounds for now?
As long as im in the 300whp range ill be happy.

WAYYYY TOOO LARGE OF A TURBO... You'll never spin that turbo with that head, those small injectors for just 300whp. My god man, those 6765 are over 75lb/min +. All you need is about 44lbs/min to do what you plan.

I think your over cammed for boost. But thats just me.

This is a classic case of why bigger is not always better.

Big turbo
Big cams
tiny injectors =
set up to fail

I got a garrett 57 trim i'll trade ya! it'll be a much better turbo for your application, i made about 300hp on 8.5 psi and this thing spools nice and quick with the smaller .48a/r ex. housing.

Downsize to something a bit smaller with a better spool time.

LOL In for videos of uber lag. i wonder how much brake boosting is needed. my guess you wont hit max boost untill about 7000 rpm.

Your cams will be fine for boost. I know several people around here that have used them with great success. The turbo and injectors are questionable. You will most likely have 1k rpm of power if you are lucky. Go for a 60mm or smaller turbo if you want some street-ability with a non-vtec.

just let him waste his money and time on something that wont work very well.. i mean seriously why the F*** would you come on honda-tech asking insight on your setup and then when people, obviously with huge experiance, tell you that this set up will not work or give you great advice and then come on liek a day later and say "screw all of your advice i'm gonna go ahead do what i wont even though i asked everyone" pretty stupid to me.

If you are gonna change out the injectors, you might as well go with atleast 1600's. That turbo has way more potential then you realize. People have made over 800whp on those turbos. Buy the injectors now and save from having to buy them later.

Any one want to place bets on where that turbo starts making boost on that motor? Im thinking around 6500rpm. My SC61 didnt make full boost until around 4800 on a GSR

Screw it man. Just get some 1600s, couple fuel pumps and ramp the boost until she goes no more lol

It will work. but far from ideal. Dont expect to make boost before 6-6700RPM!

Granted I went 11.27@120 with a bone stock ls with a T4 BW366. That turbo dident come in till 6500 on the ls!

But it was still terrilble. Seems like anymore you can't go wrong with a T3 6262 .63AR on any setup less then 650whp!

Turbo is to large but the cams are fine for boost. I love when people come on here and say all motor cams arent ment for boost when talking about and LS engine but when its a vtec thats what everyone runs is all motor cams and make TONS of power. the 403's will work just fine and still have good driveability. The 404's work for boost too but driveability isnt the best. My personal preference is the JG303's for the ls engines. make great power. But yeah stick to a smaller turbo. the 50 or 57 trim will work just fine for 300whp range

way too big of a turbo, its going to lag like crazy. I'd go with a 5557 for those power goals, maybe 5857 tops
