Default b20-turbo question

I understand a b18b block can easily achieve 250whp+ without sleeving. But, I also know that the b20 has thinner cylinder walls and therefore can't handle as much boost without sleeving.

So my question is, how much whp can you achieve with a stock b20 when boosting with turbo?

Any help is much appreciated

Good info, but I am more concerned with other member's personal experiences.

I want to know if anyone is currently running a stock b20 with a turbo and what kind of success they've had. I also want to hear people who have tried and have horror stories. Thanks!

And thanks for the link

Alright, then it is possible then. But after the season of abuse, it blew up?

The way I see it, stock b20 on boost is hit or miss. Getting a b20 in good condition with a proper tune, you hit. Otherwise, you miss.

I should probably clarify what i meant by season. We did 3-4 road course lapping days, bouncing off the rev limiter in 5th gear in every straight in 100+ degree weather. Then when the car sat at the shop, people randomly started it just to get there jollies off in the street by the shop. Then since i didn't like driving my STI around to much, i daily drove the car for a month or 2. With my 60 mile round trip commute i beat the living **** out of the motor. The motor finally blew up the last nice day of the season at the drag strip, sure it ran a 12.0 at 20mph but none the less very impressive for a motor a bunch of ******* on HT complain about.

Its all in the tune, and your right foot.
