Default B18c1 timing

Does anyone know what the timing of a boosted b18c1 should be at idle? Currently my timing i read off the crankshaft pulley is right at tdc, with my intake cam gear adjusted to 8 degrees. Does this sound right?

if you give 8 deg to your intake camgear then you will read 24.50 deg because the stock timing is 16.5
the oem timing is still good with boosted engine
if you move the intake camgear it will move the timing on a b serie the exhaust cam on a h serie because the cam drive the distributor

Your distributor timing must be synced to your engine management (ecu).
You must use some kind of engine management to tune ignition timing boost retard along with boost fuel tables etc.

the car is/was tuned and ran great minus some miscellaneous problems. but after a day at the track the car runs like crap, lack of power. i checked the normal things to check. then i got to thinking about how the timing might be set or offset. with the engine running at idle the timing light shows the stock timing right at tdc, with the intake gear at 8 degrees. which is not factory timing. when i advance my dizzy, i cant really tell, but it moves it up to about 6 degrees on the crank. so that would be at 14 degrees right. but the original place of the dizzy from the tuner has it at 8 degrees. so my timing must have skipped a tooth or two. am i on the right track here? And thanks for the help, it is much appreciated.

Something sounds totally wrong. Take the car back to the original tuner.
