Sounds like a solid setup. What are you using for engine management? What size nozzle are you using with the AEM w/m kit?

Another lowered compression build

Also, 500 for a goal is all good and dandy, but for a purely street, daily driven car, it's kind of overkill. You realistically won't be using all of that on the street, ever. A smaller power goal, along with a smaller turbo (and higher base compression) will give you a much more pleasurable driving experience.

Why bottleneck a large plenum intake manifold, ported head and lots of valvetrain goodness with a stock throttle body?

The nozzle is the biggest one.

Im using all that power, just not all the time.
I have a profec b, for low/high boost.
And "Boost-by-gear" replacing them with a switch (:

About the throttle, you are right, but for now, thats good enough.
The sob b18 makes power !

Now you guys can direct me from ur experience how much psi will i need to achieve 500-550?

Throttle body size with a setup to where the air is being PUSHED in is much less important than a setup to where the air is being PULLED in.

However a good rule is to match your throttle body size to your intake pipe size and/or intake manifold size.

How should anyone know? Also what does it matter? I'll never understand the questions like "How much boost is too much for my motor?" and "How much boost will I need to make XXX power?"

GT30R Comes to mind for this power goal and application

But 500 is definitely usable from 3rd on with a well setup car and the right tire (R888)

Stock throttle body is fine.

first of all you need to understand what i wrote, then Q me.

i do not need to know what is the safe boost or what not.

I want to know from other's experience how much boost I need with my setup to get there.. a simple assessment 5psi - 30psi

hope i made my self more clear to you.

Depending upon tuning style, I'd similarly agree. About 19-22psi to accomplish that with a larger mid-frame like a Precision 62mm

for street go with cc stage 4 6 puck... will be easier and hold the power just fine for your application.

also I have a 2 close friends who have issues with their stage 5 cluches.... weird...

500whp... smaller turbo is my vote
I have gt3540 on my 1.8 gsr and get full boost at 4800-5000rpms and at times i still feel a little handicapped on the streets. lol

My setup is ok.

Had no issues with the clutch, really good for the street.

24psi is my limit.

So i guess I'll be fine.

On a good road i hope to grip the 3rd on 21psi.

Any of you had experience with that kind of power with the OEM lsd ?
