Default b18b t25 questions

im using a garrett t25 from a nissan sr20det on my b18b. I have most of the parts and i am going to install the kit in the next week or so. I have a few questions for my install.

1. this is a coolant and oil cooled turbo. Should i run coolant through this turbo or just block it off? What are the benefits/drawbacks of using coolant in the turbo.

2. I am using 450 cc dsm injectors. Do you think this is a good size injector for this turbo?

3. using that fuel set up and a t25 turbo at around 9 pounds of boost what kind of numbers do you think i will be making? Im going to have j-k-tuning basemap my ecu for the tune.

4 what should i do for a down pipe. Do you think a down pipe from a nissan s13 or s14 would fit well?

any answers from people who have used a similar set up or really know what they are talking about would be very much appreciated. thanks guys

Well the water helps keep the turbo from getting to hot and overheating the oil that is used to lubricate/cool it. yes you should run the coolent through it.

2. I am using 450 cc dsm injectors. Do you think this is a good size injector for this turbo? Yes, those injectors should work fine for your setup.

3. using that fuel set up and a t25 turbo at around 9 pounds of boost what kind of numbers do you think i will be making? Im going to have j-k-tuning basemap my ecu for the tune. Without knowing more on your setup one can't begin to estimate HP output. I would strongly suggest you get your car properly tuned, as the basemap is just that a "base" for a tune.

4. what should i do for a down pipe. Do you think a down pipe from a nissan s13 or s14 would fit well? The downpipe is going to be dependent on your manifold and your best bet would be to just bring it to a shop at can make up a downpipe for your specific setup. and no a nissian downpipe would not fit.

any answers from people who have used a similar set up or really know what they are talking about would be very much appreciated. thanks guys

thanks a lot that helps me out. Once i send my ecu to be basmapped how do i hook up hondata or crome or whatever? Do i just get a laptop and a usb cable? What do i hook to my ecu and how. I am getting my ecu chipped mapped and socketed i guess the service j-k-tuning.com uses.
