b18b retainers?
Im currently trying to figure out what retainers are available for the b18b. However i keep reading that the Ti retainers need to be checked replaced every 15k or so. How many people are running stock retainers on their non-vtec? (with aftermarket springs) What would be the downsides to using stock retainers? Im planning on having about an 8500 rev limit. So far ive only found portflow/crower/and webcams that offer retainers. Someone please shed some light on this matter.....
I would definetly recommend stock retainers. I run stock on my built LS--with exception of cams. Only positive side of Ti retainers is the weight saved (not much), which IMO isnt worth it if they break and you drop a valve.
Ive taken my LS to 8800 w/o a girdle many times and will go higher probably.

FYI: camp1320.com and ef-1.com have retainers for b non vtec

We stock these and have used them in a LS that revs to 8600. They have been in the car for over a year now, with no problems
