i would go with the b16 .if you port and polish your head you can lower the compression a bit ,then with the shorter stroke you can get higher rpms, which can help you spool up faster .i have a sir motor that im going to turbo this christmas.my freind in his si ,port and polish his head and put on a revhard stage 3 and he runs a good high 12 (12.81@??mph)good luck with what you choose,....

LS motor. if you already have it.. great, spend all ur money on building it and turboing it.. if u dont its still cheaper than the b16a and you can still have more money left over to build it compaired to the b16a

it helps buy ,....most turbos dont kick in till about 3500 4000rpm.so if you can keep you rpms up when you shift gears you rpms wont go below 3500 or so .it mainly helps in 1 and 2nd gears .this also helps if you have ecu with no rev limiter .so you can rev high , the next gear will start out at a higher rpm, thus keeping your boost up and avoiding lag .if you have a ls or even ls/vtec you wont be able to rev over 7000 rpm.both r good choices im going with the b16 .the ls is good because of the low compresion so you can turn up the boost .so either will work ,.......
