Earlier I posted a question about something I broke, and it turned out to be the knock sensor. Although I don't need it now, I will need one eventually. I can't seem to find the part number for it and it's nearly impossible to find it on Majestic's website. Is there an aftermarket vendor that sells these, or am I stuck with Honda's prices?

 

It's a common problem. I broke mine also and new it is around $140. Try finding one used as they go for about $50 or so. If possible, just go OBD1. If you can't find one and need one, I've got one I'd part with. Good luck.

 

Thanks, I might take you up on that. But...it has to be able to work with my stock obd2 ecu for next years state inspection. I'll be doing an ls/vtec conversion sometime soon. I've been doing searches on this site, and people that go ls/vtec retap the threads on the alternator bracket and put it there. What I'm trying to find out is if the obd1 knock sensors are identical, aside from the color.

 

My car is OBD2 also...err was OBD2

EDIT* ODB1 and OBD2 knock sensors are the same. When I broke my first one, I used one from a B16A1 in my car. HTH.
