B16 Supercharged BLOWN
You need to address those lean conditons on any motor you go with . I would go with a 1.8L at least , build the bottom end and stay around 10-1 compresion.
You will need to bring those intake temps down , or lower the boost and run a little less timming.
What kind of management are you running ?

I personally don't think the motor blew up because of a lean condition but timing or detonation could have been what killed that poor thing.
I would just get a gsr block with compression somewhere in the mid to upper 9's and rebuild that head if I had to choose a new powerplant...

I dont think that had anything to do with fuel management or temps. It looks like a dropped vavle or a overrevved engine floating the valve. All the damage is form collision. Auto cross events tend to have many high revving shifts so my money says it was downshifted a tad too early. Sorry bout the motor but now oyu have an excuse to spend more money WEEEE!
I broke everything on run #2
but I do admit in run #1 i did over rev the motor but after
I went a drive on the strrets for a bout 2 min not high revs.
Run #2 I gave it out of the hole after 2 turns a straight aaaaaand bang
Destroyed
Can run#1 drop and valve but yet continue to let me drive to run #2
there was 1 hour waiting period from run 1 to run 2
also that valve thats busted the valve retainer is broken in half.
any help is appreciated
thanx

If you overrevved it the piston may have made slight contact with the valve cracking the retainer or knocking a keeper out. Then on the next run all hell broke loose (pardon the pun).

It was OVER-REVVED.
Anyway, bummer. I'm guessing that with 11psi non-intercooled and B16 type static compression something was bound to happen anyway.
I bet it's nice autocrossing with a SC. I autocross with a small ball bearing turbo on my LS swapped hatch. It's a little hard to contol coming out of the corners when the boost comes on. It's not like my car needs any more reason to understeer.
