ok guys dont flame me on this cause I search and searched I found a thread that says b16=b18a/b=b20 guy said they are all the same... Well I dont think its true I have a ls/vtec turbod crx and ls pan on there was bad so I got a b16 tapped pan and thought it went on a little weird but thought it was cause pan was beat up alittle. Now motor wont hold oil pressure im thinkin ls pickup is longer than b16 ( or b16 pan is shallower than ls) anyone with any help let me know... Can i put a b16 pickup on a ls? or do I have to get another ls pan?

 

the pans are the same. are you sure the pickup isn't damaged?

I had another old ls pan and decided to tap it to try it out and had no issues with clearance. Oil pickup on ls bottom was fine. IDK For now on if I pull off a ls pan im puttin a ls pan back on in my case it wasnt worth the hassle of takin it appart 3 times..

 

i have a pan off a b16 and it fits fine on my ls.
