Default B series and DET dowel conversion!

whew....after extensive R&D and testing, we have finally made the ultimate hybrid!

with the use of our dowels, it possible to combine:
-a DET head to a b-series block
-convert belt to chain driven valvetrain
-select the rotation of the engine, CC or CW
-select either open or closed deck

with this combination, we expect this "beast" to put down about 800whp(perfect for the street) with big FMU/stock injectors/pump on 87 octane, stock bottom end, twin turbos, and stock exhaust.

Very inventive. Why though? Does the DET Head flow better than a B series VTEC head? I thought the VTEC heads would flow better and put these heads on that block since they are stronger from the get go started life turbo lower compression, stronger block until high horsepower. My buddy Greaser made 450whp from a stock block SR20SET red top with Forged pistons. He had a problem at the track eventually, block chipped up by the head. Don't know exact damage.

What we really need to try though if somoone can do it is the k20 head on the bseris bottom. that head is awesome flow

This is something to consider i woudl like to see how it runs ..

Yeah Honda Tuning or HCI or Import Racer Mag did a 2 or 3 part write up on the K20 motors and the Type-S they said were a very straight shot port to the combustion chambers and the valves are way bigger than our B series intake and exhaust. Do this javier! I see Dr Charles Madrid made a mount kit for the K20s into an EK already.

Thats coo and I am really into being different, but what are the benifits? For the amount of money I would spend on this conversion, could not I get a port and polish job? Don't get me wronge I am just asking questions, thats all. Good job but the way.

Why not put a b series head onto a sr20 block?
Exactly...why would we want a sr20 head?? The nice thing about the sr20, as far as I know, is the block is built really strong from the factory...

It would still be too much work though..you would still need custom engine mounts and all that other stuff.

Exactly. It would be cool though not only to have a Nissan valve cover on there, but backwards even!

...and if the head would change your block to closed deck...kick ***!

I think the winking smiley in the beginning gave it away. Plus if you're going to do a hybrid you'd want the SR block and the B series head, not the other way around...

with this combination, we expect this "beast" to put down about 800whp(perfect for the street) with big FMU/stock injectors/pump on 87 octane, stock bottom end, twin turbos, and stock exhaust.
haha, good one!
