ok, i dont really know anything about axles(set up)

so that being said, I am looking at some after market axles that a guy is selling. he is selling the axles and the mid shaft. no i am assuming the the "mid shaft" is the bracket looking thing that stabilizes the the long axle? is this correct?

now for the real question, i have a b18b in a 92 cx, i already have a mid shaft because they are on b-series motors, correct? so when buying after market axles, do i need to buy the mid shaft, or just the axles them self?
