Default AVCR or Standalone system

I am new to the FI forum & have a question..
Can you use an Apex AVCR as a boost controller while using a standalone system? I am not sure if the standalones can be set with a preset boost limit? I am still researching everything before I buy anything. Hopefully someone that has a standalone or piggybacked electronics and can help out. Thanks!

I am running an avc-r with my aem ems. I could have just bought the boost seleniod and wired that into my aem and then there would be no need for my avc-r. But I like being able to see my boost level and being able to change it without having to carry around my laptop and open it up and start it everytime I want to change my boost level or switch from low to high boost.

Plus I like the cool display with the avc-r

AVC-R with Hondata here. We Hondata people don't have boost control.

You could just wire in a switch to one of the EMS inputs for high/low boost.

Ricer.

If you want a pretty display just make a Powerpoint that flashes "Danger to Manifold" after you hit your NOS Fogger system fed by 2 bottles in the back. Then have another a solenoid wired in so that when you bash a bunch of random keys, it shoots rivets from the passenger footwell and your diamond plate floorboard falls out.
