Default AVC-r reviews?

I'm looking into boost controllers, I've searched and only found a few posts about the AVC and nemerous posts selling them.

I like the flexability of the AVC-R, but does it work well?

My setup is a 95integra LS, B18C1 t3/t4, 8psi spring, built bottem and top, ITS trans, want to boost to 16 psi.

Besides how well it works, a few more questions:

1. Where do you get the Honda wiring diagram? They don't offer it in the manual.
2. The boost spike thing intrigued me, from what I understand, when you hit a cirtian RPM (just before shift) the boost will spike, so when you let off, shift and get back on it, the turbo won't fall out of boost so far. I could be wrong.
3. Why are so many people selling them? Is it junk?

So, your thoughts? Thanks.

1. http://www.apexi-usa.com/pdfInstallation/21.pdf page 51-52 here
http://www.apexi-usa.com/pdfInstallation/22.pdf honda's here
I just had to look this up for an install fri.

2. I'm not sure of the "boost spike thing", but mine works great.
3. The learning curve is quite ugly. Most prefer the simplicity of an profec or MBC after using an avcr.

Also, I love mine, except the price.

I put one on my buddys 96 saab 900 last week... that thing sucks to setup, we spent a few hours playing with it and it still loses boost in the upper rpms

I myself am going to get the Greddy profec spec b... the afc-r has way to many options most will never use.

most people dont know how to use the AVCR. ive installed and set up atleast 150 of them and run one in my car. its very very very simple once you understand it and install it correctly. im considering selling mine simply on the fact that i need to be able to change the boost more than 2 times going down the track
