ATI damper for D16 almost done development
I've been working with ATI for the last few weeks developing a damper for my D16Z6, it will probably integrate the hub for the damper with the timing gear so the damper has more surface area against the crank snout.
FINALLY a damper for the D series crowd.

LOL I think you're confused with something else.

yeah i don't really want a **** storm so i edited my comment, lol.
just so that people understand what was deleted:
NRG's line of products= personally not my cup of tea.

Is the alternator drive area diameter underdrive, or stock? Looking at the drawing, I can't tell for sure if the ribbed drive area is the alternator or the power steering.

I don't own any nrg stuff so I really can't say... I just looked on their website and saw shift *****, wings and mufflers... lol.
It appears from the picture that ATI has made the alternator 43% underdriven. I didn't notice that until now. The damper in the picture only has provisions for alternator... it's a race unit. if you want PS and AC i'm sure they could accomadate you.

That is a huge reduction. I wonder if there's any chance of them reconsidering that dimension. I'd be using it for a JRSC on my D series. I can't handle that big a reduction. I could go as far as 5.25-5.5" (12-15% reduction), but any smaller, and it would spin my blower much too slowly.

Ya think?
Justin,
Does ATI know that the stock pulley is 6.25" diameter?

Justin,

yes, ATI have an original 92-95 Si damper with P/S and A/C that I donated to them and they took all the measurements off of it so they should be ready to make a street or supercharged application for other customers.
I'll contact ATI about pricing, and the availability of a street/supercharged unit

Soon. They should be ready to start manufacturing the first hub this week...

well i dont know much about the damper pulley. i had rotated balance last year when i built my motor, so would putting this on need to balance my crank again? whats the real advantage of having a damper pulley?
This damper is gonna be $540 without the integral timing gear... they can throw that on for an extra 200 bucks.
at least that's my price... it's not a production damper, just a one-off (at least for now it is)
